One of our sites was featured on an RTE television program The Business with George Lee recently.
In the program George visited Kilkenny and looked at how the retail sector was responding to the recession.
He spoke with many business owners and listened to their stories and then went on to look at some businesses in more detail including that of our client The Slip Sweet Shop
The business owner Brian Kenny spoke about how he was coping in tough times and how his strategy was to compete outside his locality and venture online to generate more sales.
He explained to George how his website built by Coded was no.1 on Google for his chosen search terms and how this made a great difference to achieving his online goals and objectives by driving extra traffic and custom to the site.
We worked closely with Brian to help achieve online success by listening to his ideas and helping put together an internet strategy that would succeed for the business over time. All this before ever writing one line of code to begin building his website. That is not the place to start in most cases. Clear structure an planning must go into any online venture in order not to waste resources and time, a fact which many a first time website owner will testify to... all too late.
Since the program was broadcast the site was also used as a case study on the Google owned website in association with Blacknight > Getting Business Online.
We would like to point out that the The Slip Sweet Shop website has nothing to do with Google or Blacknight but was planned and built solely by Coded Web Design in consultation with their client.
